This is complicated. Used properly I think grey can be beautiful. Yellow mixes will with grey. A lot of things do, a warm grey can be so nice. Also a warm orange reminds me of fall and vampire weekend, which makes me think of my mom’s family, which makes me happy. But if you asked me this tomorrow, I’d have a different answer, it goes day by day.
Welp. I’m not in my shower right now but If I was I’d tell you it was some sort of Dove I believe. It has coconut in it. Key word, go with Coconut. I only wash every other day, it’s healthier for your hair. Plus the blowdryer helps the whole breezy look. Swag.
To be honest, I personally don’t like reblogging, for the most part. Unless it comes from an original that I love, one of my friends or it’s something especially great. It’s that I see blogs filled with reblogs, and I understand thats all some people do on Tumblr, which is great for them. It’s just not what I do. This might be against some sort of etiquette, but I honestly like posting my stuff, it’s why I’m here.
It’s sort of amazing what this lens can do for it’s price. Im eager to upgrade, but I have to say that this lens is sort of amazing for 150$. I’ve taken the majority of my photography with it and I can say it’s really brought me places.
Honestly, I’m not entirely sure. My interest in visual images started in grade 9 for me, 3 years ago, when I joined film class. A few years after, I picked up my fathers old Pentax ME Super, coated with dust. I asked him about it, and classic my-dad, he knew NOTHING about it. So I hit up the internet. Once I started clicking that shutter release, it was an addiction. I took me a while to understand photography, and really “find” myself. I started shooting about 15 months ago, and to be honest I’ve really seen the most progress in the last 2 or so months.
What advice would you give to someone learning photography?
First of All, I’m flattered you asked, because I’m far from knowing half of what I should know. That doesn’t mean my answer won’t have validity, it’s just that perfection is a lie told by mankind so we can strive forward towards it. That out of the way. Take pictures. The most important thing I can stress is practise makes "better". Personally I started out teaching myself with film cameras, which was tough, since I had to learn and hope he pictures came out. I personally learned a lot of my knowledge online and through the very judgemental world of C-41 ( The chemical used to develop 35mm film) Heres a more organized list.
Learn about aperture and shutter speed. Wikipedia is your friend.
Lighting is also very important, good lighting = good pictures, or vice versa
Although you should always take pictures of anything to practise, a great picture has some substance to it. When I say that, I mean the photo has some feeling to it, or texture, or spirit. It resonates from the image as if you can feel it. I have never taken a great picture, it’s very difficult, and it’s possible I’m too critical of myself. What I’m saying is after you learn how to take pictures, start focusing on what to take pictures of. People don’t win Pulitzer Prizes for a “perfect” picture of a flower, they get them for showing the strife in other countries, by transcending the image to something more than pixels on a screen on light on film.
So thats the short-ish version. If you have something more specific please ask I’m happy to answer. If you send me your email I can do something a little more in-depth if you like. Cheers!
Yep, I said it. I smoke pot, I blaze, burn and otherwise ingest the charred plant matter of the Cannabis plant. You might be wondering “Why is he even saying anything?” or “Man, this is a stupid thing to put on the internet.” Well, that may be true, but I am a strong advocate for the truth. I hate…
Jensen, I’m not as big on yo-yoing as my two best friends are. They’re involvement with it caused me to absorb some of the radiation. So now I see you, this crazy thrower, someone who I knew of, but never really felt a lot of connection with. This, among other things you’ve said lately has changed completely that. So thanks, or something.
